Lavender & Balsamic Vinaigrette

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon finely minced shallot
  • 1 -2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons freshly grated lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon dried lavender (food grade) or 2 teaspoons fresh lavender (food grade)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves

Recipe

  • 1 in a blender, puree the vinegar, shallots and lemon.
  • 2 while still running, add the sugar, lavender, salt, mustard, and pepper. slowly pour in olive oil.
  • 3 transfer dressing to a jar and stir in the thyme leaves.
