Fred’s Pretzel Salad

Ingredients

• Servings: 6
• 2 cups pretzels (coarsely crushed)
• 3/4 cup of melted butter or 3/4 cup margarine
• 3 tablespoons sugar
• 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 (8 ounce) package cool whip
• 1 (6 ounce) package strawberry jell-o gelatin dessert
• 2 cups boiling water
• 2 (10 ounce) packages of sliced frozen strawberries or 2 (10 ounce) packages red raspberries

Recipe

• 1 mix together the first three ingredients and spread into a 9x13 inch dish. bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes and cool.
• 2 beat together cream cheese and one cup of sugar.
• 3 stir in cool whip and spread on cooled pretzel crust.
• 4 dissolve jell-o in boiling water.
• 5 stir in strawberries and let set for ten minutes.
• 6 pour on top of cheese mixture and chill to the jell-o is set (about four hours).
