Green Pea Salad

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen peas, thawed
  • 4 -5 slices crisply cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions or 1/4 cup chives
  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • mint or fresh dill, as desired

Recipe

  • 1 cook peas until barely tender; drain well and chill. combine all ingredients and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • 2 serve on lettuce.
  • 3 use as a pita filling
  • 4 serve as a side dish
  • 5 add a cup of cooked pasta and 1 tsp more of mayo and sour cream toss together for pasta salad.
  • 6 option: try this warm too! just drain the peas and add the rest and cook over low heat on the stove until the cheese is melty and everything is combined.
