Mushroom Skewers

Ingredients

- 1 lb plain yogurt
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 lemons, grated rind and juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 20 chestnut mushrooms, trimmed and wiped
- 16 small bay leaves
Recipe
- 1 into the yogurt mix the garlic, lemon, salt and garam masala.
- 2 put the mushrooms in a bowl and pour over the marinade. mix well then cover and chill for at least 4-5 hours.
- 3 soak 4 bamboo skewers in hot water for 30 minutes. thread mushrooms, alternately with bay leaves onto skewers.
- 4 barbecue or grill for 8-10 minutes, turning frequently and brushing with marinade during cooking.
- 5 serve with a tomato and onion salad and naan bread.
