Ingredients

- reserved bacon drippings (from 1/2 lb bacon)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/3 cups vinegar
- 5 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 2/3 cups water
Recipe
- 1 heat bacon drippings in skillet.
- 2 add sugar and vinegar, stirring.
- 3 add 1 cup water and bring to a boil.
- 4 mix cornstarch with 2/3 cups water, and stir until dissolved. pour into skillet.
- 5 return to a boil; simmer 5 minutes.
- 6 add to salad hot.
