Hot Fruit With Maple Butter

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 large mango
  • 1 large papaya
  • 1 small pineapple
  • 2 bananas
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • ground cinnamon, for sprinkling

Recipe

  • 1 peel the mango and cut the flesh into large pieces. halve the papaya and scoop out the seeds. cut into thick slices, then peel away skin.
  • 2 peel and core the pineapple and slice into thin wedges. peel the bananas, then halve them lengthwise.
  • 3 cut the butter into small dice and place in a blender or food processor, with the maple syrup, process until smooth and creamy.
  • 4 place mango, papaya, pineapple and banana on a broiler rack and brush with maple syrup butter.
  • 5 cook fruit under medium heat for about 10 minutes, until just tender, turning the fruit occasionally and brushing with butter.
  • 6 arrange fruit on a warm serving platter and dot with remaining butter. sprinkle on ground cinnamon and serve hot.
